I think ive tracked down a place in NZ to recon the vac advance units so that will help the sloppy advance..
doing the run in now, 5psi (modded turbo) and some good right foot feels dam good tho

BIG' IS GOOD :) depends a lot on how much you want to play with things i guess, bigger intercoolers can require more bracketry. as for turbos try and get a unit rebuilt with the city exhaust housing so its a bolt on, the newer VF series dont fit unless you start playing with new manifolds etc which ...

Good to hear. If you have planed the head that retards your cam and ignition timing, generally both bad for power. I will be doing some adjustable cam pulleys at some stage soon hopefully that will fix this. yip sounds about right, have wound the dizzy two teeth forward which has done the trick any...

redid all timing again, it was the culprit, 2 teeth on the cam/crank and it took more than the factory setting on the dizzy to get it going., could be to do with the fact ive raised the compression for some some reason. anyway, got it starting from dead cold with a couple of cranks and no pedal push...

Timing and vac advance... You need to sort out any potential issues first. Timing has a big impact you get it wrong and the cars will not start. Also check your main Relay is working correctly, but the motor wont turn over if thats not working. yeh im having trouble trying to time it as the flywhee...
