Re: Calling all city turbo members!

Hi All! And i need : Side skirts (genuine) There were never any genuine sideskirts, assuming by genuine you mean Honda addon. You can find the brochure for Honda addon's here. http://www.cityturbo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4336 But these are some images of aftermarket ones. http://s10.post...

Re: ECU swap/tune?

I think that is why everyone who goes full on with these engines tries to get away from using the cvcc system as its old technology, worked well at the time but Honda didn't stick with it for long so it can't be that great. As for the HKS piddy back unit well i have one but never use it as the stan...

Re: ECU swap/tune?

Has anyone here had their ecu swapped out, had a tune up etc? What were the results? Share your experiences! There is meant to be a mugen rom out there somewhere, but it's never managed to be tracked down (if someone does have one pm me so i can get it copied and shared, will pay...) This was a dro...

Re: WTB Turbo II drive shafts

Hmm OK, best to go with they aren't interchangeable until we can get some solid proof they are.

Re: Red stripe reconditioning

Hey just wondering if anyone could let me know what material the red stripe that goes around the turbo 1 (and other cities) is and how I would go about reconditioning it? Also the "Turbo" writing in red on the side of the car. Cheers Are you meaning the door strip? I thought that was norm...

Re: Parts interchangeability

KingCity has found the T1 and T2 pistons are different.

T1 has extra oil holes, Looks like the removed them for the T2 to make them stronger.

Re: Piston Replacement

Now that is really interesting, something i've never seen brought up before, good spotting!

Looks like the T2 pistons have more metal underneath the oil ring, probably for the higher standard boost levels. (8 vs 12 psi)

Re: WTB New set of Turbo City piston rings

Has anyone got a set of new piston rings that they are not going to use now & are wanting to sell. I don't need pistons as i've got spares but i need rings. Photo shows why  When I did my rebuild we used Suzuki rings with the pistons needing minor machining to suit. I couldn't find origi...

Re: WTB Turbo II drive shafts

Na mate they are 10mm longer for T2's, I messured between T1 & T2. I believe the City Cabriolet also use longer shafts like T2 but i have not tested this. I was pretty sure T1 and T2 were same length as I've had both side by side deliberately to check that I could use T1 ones as spares. The gea...

It does have a wider track, but where the shafts go into the gearbox is wider, so the shaft lengths are the same, just positioned out further.

Re: Last of the T2 speedo's

I have recently acquired a late T2 analogue instrument panel/speedo cluster from a 86 or 87 Turbo 2 City. The first thing i noticed on the rear was the design is much more simple & robust & also slots in easier than the original digital type, however the down side is once installed & dr...
