looks the the wire going to the O2 sensor or cat convert temp sensor, i cant remember which of the top of my head though...
I think its the cat converter one...

A friends had similar problems with a completly different setup, but same things, metal motors seazing without use etc.... real pain i feel
mine has a real hessatance up top with your foot down too, sounds similarish?

Hey fellas! Thanks for the comments on the prelude guys :) gives you an idea of what can be done with some time and effort.
