Re: gearbox t1
If you want good acceleration definately get a 4 speed Series 1 Civic gearbox.
They have a really good 4.93 diff ratio.
You will sure feel the difference.

Re: The EL / EP / EK outcome
G'day I've been following the posts about the EL/EK motors. I've currently got a Series 1 EL motor and an EG motor at the machinist. Looking at using the long 93mm stroke from the EG in a bored out EL block. Use a modified 8 valve head with the std T2 manifolds, and an aftermarket computer. Unsure o...
Re: CV Joint
The City and Civic driveshafts are BIGGER than those in a Mazda 323 Turbo. And way bigger than those in a Swift GTi.
The CVs are also much bigger.

Re: N/A City twin carb setup ?
Try a twin weber manifold from an EG or EL (early version EL) Accord motor (ie 1976-80). The ports match up, but you have to remove/relocate two studs.

Re: N/A City twin carb setup ?
Why not use an Accord EL motor.
Put a crank in from an Accord EG motor.
Rebore to +2mm oversize.
Fit a City Turbo inlet & exhaust system.
Fit a larger turbo, and a front mounted intercooler.
You'll have a 1825cc, fuel injected, turbo motor.
It fits into an City engine bay.

Re: Limited Slip Differential for City
Yes, the Series '1' 4 speed "GB" Civic box, and the Series '2' 5 speed 'GN" Civic box will fit onto an ER motor. But you have to change the flywheel and the starter motor. The drive shafts just pop in. No problems there. All have cable operated clutches, so no problem. You can replace...

Limited Slip Differential for City
I may be getting another batch of 'limited slip differentails' made up for the City/Civic. They fit into a Series 1 & 2 Civic Gearbox. You can use the 4 speed or 5 speed boxes. These fit onto ER motors, but you have to chance the flywheel and starter motor for a Civic one. Another good reason t...

Re: mugen chip
I'm interested in doing some 'chip' work. What do you need from me ? I have T1 & T2 computers. I also have a T2 computer that was modified for me by Chip Torque, about 12 years ago. I can't see/feel much difference, but it'd be an interesting comparison anyway. I'd be interested to hear from you...

Body kits & replacement bumpers
I've been going through my old parts. I've finally found the T1 fiberglass panels. This includes a big front bumper and L&R side skirts. I've also found the roof mounted (rubber) rear spolier. This will of course fit T1 and T2s. If there is enough interest I can make up fiberglass molds, and then...
