I think it has to go into a T2 box,

That is the case with my Mugen diff will only fit T2 as T1 is different.

did you have to machine out the housing or take some metal off the mugen centre

i havent done it yet but i should think it would be best to take it off the housing rather than the diff head.

Have a look on this page its not for a T2 but could be used as a guide possibly, about 1/3 of the way down.

Im pretty sure you take the meat off the diff head itself, machining the housing would be a pita. Someone will be able to confirm I'm sure.

quaife lsd

have fitted the little sucker, just needed a few shavings of alloy from inside the gearbox housing, and the outer edges of the of the allen keys buzzed as they are what fouls on the housing.Quaife recommend putting locktite on the allen keys when they are torqued up .the only tricky bit was a metal ring has to be machined up for the speedo drive so that is the only non diy bit

Got pictures of the speedo drive ring or how much material you had to remove by any chance?

quaife diff

unfortunately it was back together when i took the camera around but may be able to get the dimensions of speedo ring and post.Material removed was less than a mm of alloy inside the gearbox housing but angle grind the outer edges of the allen keys down to level with the internal hole in the allen key so you have plenty of meat to ret-orque them back up.Otherwise you would need 2 mm of the casing and it is pretty thin there.Quaife instuctions are to locktight the allen keys as well so it would not hurt on your mugen diff
