UPDATE!!!

Postby eddie » Sat Dec 25, 2004 9:21 pm

Hello ALL:

Merry X'mas

I haven't post for a long long time.

I recently finish my uni degree. And got a new job the next day. Tell me the chances of that happening.  I am very happy with both my new job and study.

OK...

If you look closely my city no longer green. Now it is red. And the big plan is happening as well.

The Audio:
VCD, MP3, CD player Head Unit
Sony Speaker
Awaiting: Monitor

The interior:
5" Auto Meter Tacho
Oil Pressure meter
Oil Temp meter
Water Temp meter
New Steering Wheel
New Gear Knob
New Neon System
Autotechica Sport Seat with Monza 3 point Harness
Awaiting: Seat Runner

The Exterior:
Sports Mirror with LED indicator
Underbody L.E.D
New Paint job
Awaiting: Badges, Fog lamp

Engine:
Allson Coil
Uni Air Filter
Champion Gold Spark Plug

Plus what ever I have done before. More Pic coming soon.

For your information the total cost is under $2000 and thanks to the good people of the commonwealth bank credit card application has never been easiler. Just a few question and the credit card is yours. All they ask in return is your soul and any pay check you may get in the next 50 years. Simple!!!

Yes!!  Red do go faster mate. One of the main reason of changing colour.

And Yes it is red spray paint. Well the colour is not great not gloss and a little fake. But the price is right.

Total paint cost is less than $100. 15 cans of spray paint, 1 body filler, 20 sandpaper, 1 thinner, 5 marking tape. + 10 hours inside a small garage. (remember always wear a mask).

No it is not a Adobe photo shop edit pic mate. you can totally see the uneven paint all over the body.

I study Accounting , banking and Finance at Griffith Uni.

i really dont understand what inspired you to do what you did cause you just made your car look 10 times worse than with the old paintjob.

Not meaning to be rude or anything but that just look cheap and budget and has just de-valued your car.

I guess maybe Infiniti didn't run the same A 8)dd downunder that we saw here in the States...I could go through all the details, as somewhere I saved a copy of it, but the punchline was:
"If fast was a color. It would be Red." 8)

Off course , now just think about it a little ... would anyone  really take a "white" Ferrari seriously ?

Actually , while we are on the topic of paint schemes , anybody got a suggestion for recolouring my body  kit .
Want to move away from Red/Grey 80's look .

red is all good as a colour but when you see a job like in the pic above it just makes you think " oh another dogy POS " which makes all the citys look bad.

There is nothing wrong with doing a job cheaply and using spray cans but the least that he could have done is made sure that the coverage was good and maybe some clearcoat after that.
