OT: Any IT guys here from Auckland?

I've got a cousin in Auckland who is looking for a entry level IT job.  If anyone is in the know or can help out please send me a PM.  Over here we just have IT recruitment places that pretty much "pimp" all the graduates out to companies and take a cut, not sure if it really works that way over there?  He's new to NZ so the "not what you know, its who you know" rule is'nt quite working out
