Re: Standard Oil Pressure ??? + Cooler
Gentlemen all Couple of points about an oil cooler: 1) Oil being a hydraulic medium, and assuming you're not going to put a skinny little cooler in, there is very little pressure drop across an oil cooler. Of course, how you get the oil through the cooler is an interesting question - see below. 2) D...

Re: My honda city is having Voltage problems.
Another option is to take it to the auto-electricians, and get them to re-build the alternator & check out overall electrics. Cost should be around $120 - $200, which, considering damage you can cause from a sick regulator isn't too bad. What will also screw up voltage like this is a really sick...

How legal do you want to be? The cat converter shouldn't affect performance, but the lack of temp sensor or it just hanging there might give you grief in a jurusdiction with inspections.

Re: My car has stopped AGAIN!
Are the injectors firing? There is a resistor block that provides current to the injectors, the computer then earths out the -ve side of the injector to create a current flow. (Have a look at the circuit diagram that is posted) Are there is volts on the output of the injector resistors, if you put ...

This City Turbo web site is referenced at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic although the City itself is not covered, Civic and CVCC get a mention. The wiki site is a "self written" encyclopedia, so if you feel like telling the world about the City you can write it up for them. John

O2 sensor output voltage
Does anyone know what the output of the O2 sensor should be in Volts. Ours was (I think) below 1V but after Chris hit a fairly heavy bump a few weeks back we seem to have 1.6 - 2.5 V showing on our voltmeter / air/fuel readout. Won't show air / fuel as volts out of range. Anyone else seen this? Croo...

Re: Help! What is a CVCC valve??
If you open up the rocker cover you should find that there are 12 inlet & exhaust valves (not the usual 8) - 8 normal size on the manifold / firewall side, and four smaller ones at the front (away from the inlet manifold). These 4 valves - the cvcc inlet valves - have their own rocker, and it...

Effect of Worn Cam
The question was asked in the Buy / Sell forum. "What is the effect of a worn cam". Some engine basics: The air / fuel mix gets in, and the burnt (exhaust) gases get out via the valves. The amount of opening of the valves is driven by the "lift" of the cam, so if the cam is worn...

Re: T1 too lean!
Crooky We (CT & I) and I suspect others on this site do have a complete set of CVCC assemblies. CT is pretty cautious about selling spares we hold that we may need, but if you have a total lack of other sources we could have a look to see if we can spare the ones we have. Let me know if you want...

Worn Cam & rockers
The following info was provided by Charles in a post. Dropped in here lightly edited, with Camtech contact details added. John T The number 4 cam lobes are prone to wearing down in Honda city turbos (and many other cvccs for that matter). The main reason is less oiling than the other lobes combined ...
