Re: Quaife LSD part number QDF3U
WakeeWakee, This is a very important Questione. If that number from Quaife will work...and can still be had trom them...then we are in business! There is simply NO point in creating a big HP monster Civic/City without an LSD to safely put the power on the road. Broken axles and broken trannies are t...

Re: ity turbos in KANSAS CITY/ USA
I'm the guilty party...try non-existant. And I'd like to get ahold of a City turbo exhaust manifold too ;D.

Oh,Thanks Bigelboe. Yep I'm familiar with Anguses car from Richards old site. I didn't realize the car in the mag was Anguses car. It's a Hottie though. ;D

Re: piston rings
Yo Justin, Sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time sourcing all your parts. I think we will all be dealing with same before too long. Might be a good idea for all of us to start inventorying any and all parts for rebuilds we might concievably need in the future. I wonder if, whilst you s...
Re: oil line
Bigelboe,
I had to read that a couple of times before it finally sunk in ;D, but it should be an fairly accurate way to do it. The oil drain back line must be above that level, Right?

Re: Unfinished T1 For Sale
If you are going to use those threaded 50mm strut casings, you COULD try to bore your stock 2ndgen uprights to fit them. Personally I would not go that route. I would fear removing that much meat would be risking weakening the uprights. I like to stay within what Honda wisely deins a necessary safet...

Re: Unfinished T1 For Sale
Bigelboe, I'd think it would be easier to find a 2ndGen gearbox than a Turbo City one...that is unless you already have one. Too bad it's not easy to get an LSD for them...that would be the ideal setup. They don't break all that easy. BTW, did you see the message I added on the earlier thread? I on...

Re: Spring Rates : John
Hey Bigelboe, I just went to my local Pick-U-Pull today...(Wednesday), and they have recently put an '82 Prelude in the yard. I could go and get the front uprights and lower control arms(if good)...and...it has a full set of struts on it which are the origional threaded kind, so if you want I can pu...

Re: City and Civic
It is completely different from the EB series. It is much closer to the CVCC motors we recieved, except the crank journals and therefore the rods as well, are not useable in any of our motors, due to a larger diameter. Thus you either need to go with an entire City Turbo setup, not cheap, or you can...

Re: right who wants a wide body racer kit??
If you can find an existing car with the flare kit already installed then you could make your templates from that, and use your templates to help you sculpt your own set to make the molds from. I'd wager that a trip to Japan, and all the materials to make the molds would come in well under 3995AU. a...

Re: right who wants a wide body racer kit??
Oh yeah, One final thing, left and right sides don't have to be perfect mirror images of each other because you can never see both at the same time. You just want to get them as close as you can within reason. Interesting note here. In the old days when all the Exotic bodies were one ofs and all don...

Re: right who wants a wide body racer kit??
I think maybe I know a quick way for you to find it. Go to whatever University you have there which has an extensive Fine Arts program, or maybe an Industrial Design program would be even better. Someone there should know of a source for it, if the Professors are worth a salt.

Re: right who wants a wide body racer kit??
I don't know where you would go to find it Downunder. You have styling studios for your Auto manufacturers, so I am sure it is available, but you'll have to hunt for it. I have around 50LBs of it. It is pretty slick stuff. It is heated to just over 100 degrees (F) and that allows you to paddle it o...

Re: right who wants a wide body racer kit??
Thought I'd add one more thing here. The closer you get to a final finish before you pull your mold, the less work it will take to get the final pieces ready to paint on your car. This is even more important if you plan to make duplicate pieces as the time spent up front is payed back for every set ...
