Anyone know the history of this T2 from Brisbane?

It recently belonged to sasinak in Brisbane. He said he purchased it locally. From what I can tell it was last registered under QLD rego 645-JHD in 2006? Starts, but idle hunts around 2-2.5k rpm. I will look for the usual suspects to fix this. Up on a hoist I see it has Pedders springs and reconditi...

Oil filter thread size?

Hi Folks,

Can anybody confirm if the oil filter on a T1-T2 engine is an M20 1.5 thread?

I just want to know to ensure when I buy an oil filter sandwich plate for my oil cooler it will have the correctly threaded fittings for the standard oil filter.

Hey, could you please explain a little further.

"Haven't put it back together completely & minimal rust."

How much did you pull it apart to replace the head gasket? Did you skim the head or check the block?

Rust where exactly?

Any pics of the car as it is?

On my K11 Micra, going from the standard 16mm on my Micra to a 20mm adjustable made a noticable difference. On the track, it sits ALOT flatter through corners when pushed and I can get power off over steer if I require  I have not driven my T1 with the 22mm adjustable swaybar as yet... Speakin...

No idea.

Selby's are the people who did my rear adjustable swaybar and I did send my original rear swaybar so they could check the measurements they already had.

They mentioned at the time they had on file, front and rear, just wanted my rear to be on the safe side with my order.

Replacement Radiator?

OK, my T1 racer progresses slowly. I spotted these and while the are slightly smaller, I was wondering if they would be a suitable replacement on the City. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/56mm-3-core-aluminum-radiator-Honda-Civic-EK-EG-92-00_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563677224dQQitemZ370280964685QQp...

Try going and seeing the folk at Batalion Motors, 70 Townsville St Fyshwick (02) 6280 6022.

I understand they have some good older honda engine knowledge.

WTB - T1 Front Bumper

Hi Folks,

I'm after a 'spare' T1 front bumper for my slowly progressing T1 race car.

I need to modify it (cut holes etc) to fit the front mount intercooler and oil cooler.

So if it is a bit beaten up, that should be OK.

I'm in Sydney, but will consider anywhere in Oz if the price is reasonable.

Heat sheild found for a good price

Folks, I just picked up some ACL Heat Shield HR140-GTR at Repco for $41. It's a 70cm x 29cm sheet. http://www.acl.com.au/web/aclwebsite.nsf/e15e3704aa49fd6dca2568e0000e316c/2fc766104cd05789ca2570ee001ccb2d/$FILE/ACL%20Heat%20Shield.pdf I understand it is usually around $65. Seeing as the heat sheild...

So what exactly did the machinist say about the cylinder walls?

Why not just get a set of custom pistons & rings made. For much less than $2k (I would think) you would be back on track with your rebuild.

Try a search, custom pistons have been discussed on this forum before.
