Re: manifolds how tha firetruk
The two manifolds are bolted together, and you have to slide them both off the studs on the head at the same time too. Can't remember exactly how much you have to take apart but I think the intake heat shield or something covers the bolts that hold the two manifolds together so if you want them apar...

Re: Hypershift Question.
Interesting system! From that video it look like its driven off two electromagnetic clutches in the gearbox that are driven by a controller. That controller will presumably take a throttle position and probably an RPM input. Changing the carb probably means the controller is always thinking you are ...

Re: T2 adjustable suspension
In the pics of those citys in Japan they are running shocks, not struts. There is a difference between Double A arm suspension that most late 80s Honda had and the Macpherson strut suspension that the Citys have. The shock rods in those coilovers look to only be 12 or 14mm, much too thin for the cit...

Re: James' Civic Rebuild Thread + High Power ER Motor Theory
It pretty much bolts up, you just have to modify the rear engine mount bracket and fabricate a shorter dog bone torque rod.

Re: bigger brakes????
Honda brakes are generally very interchangable, you just have to get the 'hat height' of the disc right to suit the callipers. Some time with a brake disc catalog or at a wreckers is well spent.

Sounds like Alex might have the right kind of EL 1600 motor in his 1G Prelude there. Probably a NZ new one. There was also an EP engine which was the CVCC 1600, probably came in the JDM ones.

Re: T1 AND T2 parts for sale/free auckland
Do you have a T1 distributor cap? I am getting my T1 back on the road, but the contacts are really bad, and in order for me to take out some more WRX's i need my baby to run real well. Hehe cheers ric Hey Ric! Good to hear from you and that you still have a city. I have a couple of spare dizzy caps...
Re: ER and EL
Yes the city gearbox bolts up, with the city fly wheel too. You can even bolt the city manifolds on with some work to the head, you have to add a little bit of material and carve out the injector cut outs. There are two kinds of EL motor though, one has the ports in a different order so won't really...
