Re: WTD: City T2 Motor - Melbourne

Your missing the point. Getting a Head will cost you the same, if not more than the whole thing (unless you buy one off someone here). And why would someone sell you a perfectly good head when they may need one down the track... These are important parts that seem to wear sooner or later. You've bee...

Re: WTD: City T2 Motor - Melbourne

i would look up my local Jap Importer and but an ER Turbo block for around $600. Most little importers all know about the ER Turbo and availability is huge. You can't get computers and electrics cheap, but the block you can (and it should still have the turbo bolted on for a spare). I personally wou...

Re: VL Fuel pump question

Hey Colza,

Yeah man, when i first turned the key, i thought the mechanic hadn't fixed it properly because i didn't hear the pump prime itself ;-) (only in comparison with the old one, when it's real stull i can hear it, but it's certainly alot quieter than before).

Re: Help! What is a CVCC valve??

i've heard of a few people having trouble with their engines, i personally would fork out the $600 at your local jap importer for an ER turbo block, comes with the turbo still bolted on, so it's second-hand, but you could spend double that and still not have a working vehicle if someone doesn't do t...

Re: Citys rollcall

Hi Kenny,
I'm from Newcastle, NSW. I've got my T2 as a daily driver, also have a Cabriolet without an engine (in awsome body and vinal condition) and know of 2 T2's that arn't running in the area.
Cheers,
Luke.

Just to add to this post, who here has their T1 or T2 as their daily driven car?

Re: hiccup on right hand turns

hi, my old cabriolet had the same carby engine as the prot, and i drove that car VERY hard around corners (harder than i can in my T2! [only because the power is more progressive and easier to control compared to the powerhouse of the T2]) That problem NEVER happened to me, so it's not the carby typ...

Re: VL Fuel pump question

is everyone else's fuel hose a little clear rubber tube?
so the fuel pump is from a VL v6 "hight pressure" external pump.

Also, where can i find it? i took the in-side lining off rear left and couldn't see it, do i have to remove false floor of
hatch to get to it?

VL Fuel pump question

Hi All, I'm looking at getting a VL fuel pump as my T2 replacement, now the local shop says the VL has 2 pumps! Anyone know of which one is the correct one? Any part numbers you can find would make it much easier for me. Cheers, Luke. PS. There's an internal fuel pump and an external, the external i...

Hi HondaGirl,

Alot of us T2'ers have removed the rear seats. Then you
have PLENTY of room for anything and everything ;-)

Cheers,
Luke.

Re: Hi-flowing stock turbo

So what about the RHB5 off a 90-92 Laser Turbo 4WD? It's a VF20 or VF21? But there engine is 1.8 not 1.2! AAAAAAh, this is all too confusing... So Front mount bigger intercooler with standard T2 high-flowed. Don't anyone make a Roller Bearing turbine that's smaller than a GT25 (280hp rated, i want a...

Re: So what boost we runnin?

oops, didn't see charles answer before last post As always, you are a wise man Charles. I'll take your advice (even though i've heard of rally T2's NOS'd) because yeah, it's illegal (and too costly...unfortunately). I will be looking out for one of those Legacy Turbines! Ok, So RHF5 turbo in city, w...

So i have a turbo timer but don't know how long i should be running it for! ??? I've been using 1 min 30 secs.
