is that the new shape with the squat rectangular head lights.. how much do they weigh, i've always been keen to modify one of those i reckon they would look mean slammed with big wheels

Ahh the possibilities of Hybrid- D13, D15, D16Y8 (vtec 130hp). All bolt in and it would be quite a beast with a D16 SOHC vtec (around $700 for full conversion).

The D16 and ZC are basically the same motor so the non vtec twin cam crx motor would also go in. Why stop there. A healthy D16 vtec/ZC with a bolt on turbo kit will put out 250hp with no internal engine mods. Now we're talking a quick car.

The best thing is that all these parts are available second hand cheaply as those with the bug upgrade to a B series engine in the bigger bodied cars.

I wouldnt trust turboing the ZC motors with no internal engine mods as i have had a Civic Si with a zc1600 in it and worked it quite hard (no turbo)

Saw the guy who bought my car like 2 months later and he reckons he had to spend another 3k just to get it running after a gearbox blew and he couldnt bare the fact that it smoked and chewed oil more than a 2stroke.

it'd have to be a weapon if he spent 3g on it as i can reco an engine for about 500 and do some mods for about 800 and a second hand gearbox cant be worth more that 500

I have personal experience with a properly turboed ZC EG civic. The thing made 250hp on 7 psi internally stock after 5 years the only problem was the syncros on second gear. They are strong motors but stock rods will let go after 250hp.
