cabriolet roof

Postby bowlink1 » Tue Jun 14, 2011 8:01 am

anyone know of a good second hand cab roof, or availability of new roofs? Also I'm after a body moulding thats specific to the cabs. Along the top of the body bove the rear wheel arches, and along the top of the boot lid, there are 3 flat, approx 50mm wide black plastic trim mouldings that sit where the roof meets the body. I need the one on the drivers side. Anyone got one?

I just spent 6 months searching for a new roof in Aus/Japan and couldn't find any. They're not easy to replace, only a couple of motor trimmers I found were willing to make one from scratch and they were all priced around 2k for a new one
I might have the plastic above the boot/door, but will have to check

Folks, I think I remember reading something like these were a close fit or could be made to fit?

VW RABBIT cabriolet 80 to 94 convertible top ( roof )

Or perhaps it was here... http://www.colc.info/

Have a search on this site as I'm not sure if this was here I read it or if my mind it playing tricks on me.

I looked into all of the VW/golf etc roofs - it all got pretty tricky and I ended up just getting a new roof made for $2000
