Hmmm oil leak

Postby tom » Fri May 16, 2008 11:30 pm

One thing after the other. I've just had my car off the road for a few weeks getting a new gearbox and the timing belt done and now this. I've wound up the boost to 14 psi and wired up my fcd (correctly this time) and then taken my car for a spin. I was very happy with the increase and then got home to find this *(link to gargage below)*. What does evryoe think the prob is? head gasket? There was a considerable amount of oil for such a short period of time and it looked as though it was sprayed up all over the injectors? Any ideas appreciated.

This is an *extremely* common problem on city turbo's. If you take the rocker cover off, and put it back on its almost guaranteed to leak. My suggestion is buy a new rocker cover gasket, or if you cant then youll have to seal it up with silicone sealant. Even the honda manuals say to use a little bit of silicone sealant in the corners when you install a new gasket.
