tomorow i will be sticking the windscreen back in without the strip.with the work i do in the building industry i have become a bit of an expert at creating a smooth bead of black sikaflex so i think i will just sika the join between glass and car and be done with it,i honestly never intend on driving this car in the wet enyway.

nah i dont want a second hand windscreen trim,i already have two of them and they are both fairly average so i would almost guarantee that every other one out there is in the same if not worse condition.
i went to clark rubber today to have a look at what they had and i think ive found a suitable alternative, they sell a round section of rubber like a vacuum hose but solid so once the screen is in ile see what size will fit in the gap around it and buy the length i need.

went back to clarke rubber and found a sales person who actually gave a f#@k and was willing to help and managed to come up with an almost perfect match for what i was after all i need now is to trim the lower fin of the T section down and it should work a treat it turns out he was also the owner of the business so i let him know about his friendly and useful staff
