Re: shock absorbers
Qiklude had sourced some from Auckland i think. They were going to have to be custom made koni's that were fully adjustable.
I'm pretty sure that there was some talk of a bulk deal on them, otherwise they were going to be about $300nzd per corner.
Otherwise your only other choice is second had from a wrecker as no-one makes them anymore (we've looked petty hard)
Private message Qiklude for more info.

Re: shock absorbers
After driving both, i'd say something in the suspension is different.
They have the same arm's etc, but shocks and springs (or maybe just springs) are definately different.
T2 has much stiffer ride standard, and alot less body roll.
So if you find out, i'd replace with T2 stuff

Re: shock absorbers
I suppose i *could* look at the cab's shocks, and at the T2's shocks and see if they appear the same...
That'd be too easy since both are parked out the front

Didn't really know what to look for, they appear the same, but i sware their settings must be different.

Re: shock absorbers
something that might be a bit easier to compare is the diametre of the swaybar, check if the turbo one is thicker. This would explain the better handling, and would be a good upgrade for a cab. The spring rates are probably slightly different aswell as that would be something that is fairly inexpensive to change at te factory. :D Worth a check 8)
Re: shock absorbers
just got under the car the front sway bar is 17 mm thick, as far as i can tell with a 20 year old pair of vernier callipers
it may have allready been swapped with a t2 one when it had the motor put in?

Re: shock absorbers
that would make sense...
The blue cab i had, with t2 stuff swapped sat lower than standard cabs... but then again it had lowered springs in the back...
The shocks look the same, it's the springs... but i know nearly nothing so don't take my word for it... at least we know they are interchangeable
