I believe the sensor on the cat is just a temp sensor which flicks on a light on the dash (or something like that). If you are running without a cat-converter just cut the wire wherever looks neatest and remove the sensor.

yeah i snapped ours off in a fit of rage, trying to get the exaust off! :D

no problems, no lights! just a temp sensor as has been said.

my exhaust cost me 600 that was for a 3inch dump into 2.5 piping a hiflow muffler and a chrome dump tip i dident run a cat cause my beast is befor 86 so no need (i supplyed the flange for the dump pipe to the turbo) but its looks like i will be needing a new dump pipe cause i am turbo upgrading.

god knows what age the engine is ::)

well the adr rules say you need a cat if its 86 or onwards but its up to you and if the exhaust place dont care i wood say dont run a cat

If in Australia (Im Qld) if car has a cat, the exhasut palce would be opening themselves up to fines if they
dont put one back on.

I ring several when doing mine and none would replace
even my busted one with a straight pipe.

they pose no slowing of exhasut flow with modern designs so may as well put themon , also they take
nasty-ness out exhasut good for environement
and will stop the paint around exh.tip staining like yo see on bodgy exh., jobs on silvias...LOL

took the car down yesterday,but the bloke says come back tomorow as all but one of his workers chucked a sicky ::) i dont blame them it was sooooo hot?
took it down today the bloke said he will do it a bit cheeper for stuffing me round ;D get the car back tommorow cant wait,although mums liberty has been fun to drive!

got it back
the dump looks good and it sounds wicked seems they misunderstood what i wanted out the back and put a resonater and twin chrome tips instead of a cannon oh well ::)
ended up being $600

yeah its a little better  :) throttle response has deffinatly improved,my anoying little popie splutery back fire apon decel is a bit louder
ime fairly happy with it ;D
