he managed to track another bearing down.
....from Melb. he tells me (so it cost more) ...right.

Anyway my dad picked it up after work Monday as I dont get back till half six.  So total they had it 4 working days.   Now its much quiter, acelerates smoother etc, no vibrations etc, and gearbox nicer too now theres oil in it.  Although theres a little whiney squeek coming from the hubs?!
I was pretty chuffed considering he charge just over SEVENHUNDRED dollars.    :o

...then I saw, over the right wheel arch, where the fender bulges out, someone down there has leant on it and pushed the bulge in. its in enough its distorted the line of the wheel arch and cracked the paint. I've attached a diagram showing were exactly I mean, not an actual pic!  I rang him and told him this morning her say  "...I washed it myself and didnt see it (thats why theres still grease on the bonnet?) ...I'll speak to the guy that worked on it..." (probably the crossed eyed apprentice that I saw drove out in a shitbox escort). I'm gonna take it down tomorrow and show him...Im decided they are going to fix it....but I dont wanna leave it with them again.  Maybe I'll take it off get it fixed then send them the bill. If I  leave it wit them it'll probably end up a bog job and im not having that. So pissed right now!  How should I handle this you think if he denies responsibility to fix it or fund its fixing.  This is a garage of a major chain keep in mind and they've always done good work and prices for my dad. Our neighbour is a friend with the guy too.

yeah go see the man about it and remember to keep your cool(for now enyway).especially if your neighbour is his mate and your old man is a regular and likely a valued customer he probly wont want the bad publicity of you telling everyone you know they are scumbags.
good luck
