Sweet!

If I get the chance at a second car one day Id love to drop one of those
into a cabriolet... wonder on the road worthyness of that engine in Qld though... thats a 1600 right? Seems the same my brother had in his old Civic.

It would probably fit OK in a T2 because they are quite wide, about 100mm wider than a 1st gen civic. You have to thin the chassis rails down and cut out a bit of the guard to make them fit in a 1st gen, probably dont have to touch the chassis other than to weld in engine mounts in a T2. Then you could put the twin pot brakes from an accord Si, and some heavier duty springs and youd be away. A factory d16 vtec is only 130Hp tho so it wouldnt go much quicker than a city turbo running basic mods.
