quaife limited slip diff the verdict

Postby turbocab » Sun Sep 09, 2007 7:07 pm

after a lot of screwing around i finally got the gearbox back it the car(even if i dont have 5th gear or reverse)
so i took the car out for a spin..........
the diff is awesome and worth every cent!
the steering has become a little heavier but not by mutch.
the cornering is now really great although i was playing it safe in the wet,
when you power through a corner normally the inside wheel would go apeshit and break traction in a smokey squeeling mess but not any more now it just keeps gripping and pulling you through the corner at amazing speeds!
although i have found that i am going to have to adapt my driving style to suit it, normally exiting a corner with the power on i would have to turn the wheel a bit extra(think thats called understeer)but now if i adopt this technique the car wants to shoot of the road ie it continues hooking in to the corner that has already finished.
in conclusion i can honestly say that this is the most worthwhile modification i have done thus far.very happy(except for not putting the gearbox back together properly)
matt

:D Mine won't be as street friendly as a quaife, but should have similar if not better performance attributes when driven hard.
