a sample of suspension components was removed from the car to try to sort out some front coilovers(he recons these will be easy) the rear will require more thought and some machining and fabricating.

Looking good!

Are you going to be changing the interior? e.g. to the black dash?

Looks fantastic. Just wish mine will look that good when I get cracking on restoring it next year.

yeah if it goes enywhere other than a flat surface it will have some sort of bracket or blocks behind it.
at the moment i am verymutch leaning toward above the black mesh but i think ile use double sided tape until i am sure.

had my first drive of the car in 2.5 od years yesterday! sadly however it was only on standard suspension and wheels as i had to transport it down to the workshop so frank could have a better look at the coilover situation.things are set in motion and ive spent part of the day today modifying a couple of things on the lathe to get things to fit.more machining will be undertaken later in the week and i expect to have the suspension sorted in a week or so.
i had forgotten how much fun this little bastard was to drive and the new paint really turns heads weather or not that is a good thing ime not yet sure.
along the way a crapheap vl calais wearing red p plates drove up next to me and his passenger said something stupid and they both laughed, they soon shut up when i dropped it back to second and torque steered infront of them and away in a screaming cloud of smoke.
