oil pressure line fron turbo on a T2

Postby meatbee » Fri Jun 27, 2008 6:34 pm

Hi Guys,
Slowly getting my T2 to a stage that it can be registered,

I have two problems I am yet to solve, The first is the Main oil Line from the turbo to the engine is leaking, does anyone know where I could get a replacement or is this something that would need to be fabricated?

Secondly the Digital Speedo, tacho, temp gauge and warning lights are not functioning. Have checked all the fuses and speedo cable but with no joy.

There is one strange thing that I will do my best to explain,
When I purchased the car It had two sets (blue/red) wires coming from the coil. Basically the engine will only run if I disconnect one of these wires, If I connect the second wires as the car is running the tacho flickers and the engine stalls?

My first thought was that it may have a hidden imobaliser somewhere but again no luck tracking one down

Any help would be greatly appreciatted

Thanks

Best thing would be to get a second hand one. Honda might even have some new ones left, you never know. Fabricating is possible but not necessary unless you can't find a replacement.

Ill even give you the part number 15500-PD1-004. Just rang Honda to check availability but their computer system is down

I would say the most suspicous thing here is the earth for the instrument cluster. This has played up for me before and wreaked all sorts of havoc.

Yeah sounds like its had an alarm or something installed at some stage. Check what voltages these wires have when the car is on, and whether one of them is connected to ground.

Hi Bigelboe,

Thanks so much for the info It really is invaluable!

I will ring honda first thing on monday and try to get the oil line

Re earth and dodgy wiring, Im still working on that one, one question

standard t2 should only have one 'set' coming off the coil right?

Thanks again

This site is great

cheers

ps I did donate a while back but not sure what happened

Thanks again

I had a Pirtek guy fix that oil line. Don't know if you have them over there?
