Would anyone have a picture or very direct directions to hook up the boost gauge?

I would like to get my one up and running thanks.

Is it bad to use a plastic T piece (that came with the auto gauge)

the brake booster line? I must just be a noob because that sounds like the wrong place. I was trying to work it out for myself and the best thought i had was either on pipe 31 or 32.....

hi,go off either 5 or 2 the two lines comeing off the dizzy,if you go for 31,32lines these will only tell you what the turbo is boosting,if you go for one in the inlet manifold ie 2-5 this will tell you exactly how much pressure/psi the engine is getting example my mini was boosting 12psi at turbo before recod the engine and was showing 5-6psi at the manifold, now with reco engine new gaskets ect its 12-12.

hope this helps

pete.

ps look in my previous post re vac digram for t2 :)

Just to confirm before i go doing anything.... I can stick it on either 2 or 5?

Just chop it and put the t piece in?

Thanks

Tee is into 2 if you like, I prefer the line going to the fuel pressure regulator. Don't use 5, its switched. I use a barbed plastic T for mine.

Thanks for translating the bigelboe on behalf of everyone...

PROBLEM

Now i hooked up the gauge (tapped into hose 2) and it is showing about 6psi in vacuum and when i rev it up it gets to 0 but no further. (did it while driving too)
Though it seems more responsive when i am not in gear (just sitting revving)

Now im not sure what has caused this but i do know that since i have changed the turbo (to another one) it hasnt gone very well and on the standard gauge it does not even reach the top (usually 3/4 the way up)

Now i was guessing it is the wastegate actulator that was opening too early, but thats nothing more than a guess.

The car is completely standard except for the boost gauge i just put in.
I changed turbos because the old one had rust on the wastegate so i freed it up only for it to sieze again.

What should i do the car isnt going like a turbo should, no real power or torque. This is the same as before the boost gauge went it though.

I would put it in the hose going to the fuel pressure regulator to make sure. It sounds like you either have a completely stuffed/siezed turbo, or a massive boost leak. Can you spin the turbo shaft with your fingers when you take the inlet pipe off? If so you have a big leak.

I will go and try that.

Turbo was sold to me in good working order
