Hit a bit of a hurdle, it may be slightly more difficult to find the shock seals than I had originall anticipated. Fear not, I will prevail.
Went and had a good chat to the local suspension Guru this morning, some interesting stuff, he offered to give me some advice on valving and oil and things once I have all the seals I need.

OK so Ive found its relatively easy to find some KYB gas strut inserts that will fit in the city housing. This will be more expensive however, probably up around or slightly over 1k for the base package. Will consider this if I can't get parts for the rebuilt. Have sent away a bunch of enquiries about seals so should get some replys on Monday. Have also found a suitable lathe but its down in Otago, have to wait till monday to see if I will be able to freight it for a reasonable price.

Bastard, the rear uses a 15mm shaft instead of a 20mm shaft, so has different seals and bearings. At least the O-rings are the same. Its also a slightly simpler setup, it had no piston bearing, just uses the piston. This may cause some problems if anyone has heavy scoring in the bore of their struts, luckily we can replace the bores without tooo much trouble. The struts also use much less oil than I thought, probly only 150ml or so in each one.
Now I have to stop thinking about this so I can get some uni work done!
