Yo Guys,

After getting pretty frustrated looking, I went down the custom job path. Chamberlain's in Chch made some linear 200 lb/inch coils to sit on an adjustable platform over the existing struts. The front struts were machined and had the mounting points changed and re-welded...all certified of course.  ;)
Similar work on the back but just had existing springs re-tensioned. Can't give you exact $$ but around $300 all up!  ;D

one of the t1s i bought for a hundred bucks had a full set of kyb struts and springs.. they were for sale but they're apprently being used, anyway if your not keen to risk a pink sticker i'd go for getting them shrunk i heard the cops in nz are getting pretty harsh on non certified cars and or home jobs... its the boy racer thing again

Ok, but I'll need to get hold of some struts first. Would you be able to supply them.
Then I'll chat nicely to Turbo Tech and see if they are able to do it all again! Should be cool.
I'll get quotes first just so you know what you're in for!

Hey Pete

Maybe you should see if you could negotiate some sort of bulk purchase deal, 'cause i'd be interested to.

Cheers

Hey all,
Just talked to Phil at Turbo Tech. He's gonna have a look at mine after I move it to my new place. Then he'll try to remember just what he did and look at smarter ways to do it all again! He'll also have a better idea of quotes etc then, but it'll be a few weeks away as he's flat out at the moment.
