hey

me and my dad are looking at putting a disk brake ass end on either my t2 or his t1. the guy from AAA honda wrekers said thet the crx rear disk brake might fit a city, as he has put some on a civic before. we are looking on wednesday at the brakes to see if they fit. then we need the brake portioning valve and a master cylinder to suit the disk brakes. how cool will it be, a t2 city with all wheel disk brakes. 8)

thanks kenny 8)

hey

i will i just hope we can find some. the guy also said that the disk setup should just bolt straight on, no mods just take the drm off and put the calpier bracket on and then the disk. i hope it is that easy. then need to find a brake master cylinder off a crx and see if they fit as well.

thanks kenny 8)

get a later model one like off an 89-90 man it'll brake good especially if you run metal pads

Hey there,

Given that about 80% of the braking happens at the front end, rear discs wont make a heap of difference. They'll sure look cool though.  ;D
I looked at Mazda Astina discs on mine as it wouldn't be too hard to make mounts for them. Have just left the std drums but my feel the need to change to disc. Let us know how it goes!

hey

had a look at the brakes today they are off a integra not a crx. they look like they will fit so we took the stub axel to see if the bolt spacing are the same as the backing plate off the city. have not looked at the portioning valve yet untill we find out if the disk actually fits.

thanks kenny 8)

Use early 86-88 prelude rear disks, almost bolt straight on. You will need to deal with the handbrake cable issue so you might want to grab them off the prelude as well. If you live in NZ get the rear brakes off the 86 civic Si.

The front brakes are off the civic Si/84-86 prelude.

how close are the 2nd gen prelude discs to fitting?
What needs to be changed?
