engine came out sunday night
thanks to a lend of pro'ts engine crane.
just got the dash out tonight, ended up smashing the plastic body of the wiper mechanism doh!
i honestly dont know how they got some of those wires in there when they built these things and ime sure they were never ever ment to be pulled apart with a view to putting them back together
decided to ditch the air con to save weight and the hassle of putting it all back in and regassing it.
i recently was informed that you cant have a rollcage of any sort in nsw and still have your car registered so no cage at this stage but ime going to have a minimal interior ie dash, door trims, and only front seats no carpet or roof liner or rear trims that way its no big deal to add a cage later if i decide to make it a dedicated race car and bar the rego.
problem is ive been hitting the home brew a bit hard while im working (i knew that fridge in the garage was a bad idea!)hehe
what is a good site to host my pictures on to post em up here or will someone else put em up for me if i email them to you??
a drunken matty says bye............

while i have been slacking a bit ive also been making slow progress, ive started on one of the problem bits of rust repair the lip that supports the seal for the rear hatch so far ive replaced about 500mm of the 10 mm lip in various places and some patches near by where the rust has spread either side of the lip its slow tedious work though!
sorry no picks yet no time to upload them.

got a fair bit done thesarvo but theres just no time any more! 19 days away from a trip overseas for 3 weeks,so mutch to do so little time
hey prot your sandblaster works ok but you need a lot of air to make it run for any length of time,i had it going with the big compressor from work plugged into the extensive pipeline beneth my house and the compressor still ran pretty mutch non stop!

that bit has already been fixed.it looks like crap but its all hidden behind the dash etc
the last pic of my next post shows how i patched it with a series of overlapping bits of steel.
theres also pics of the little tubs ive built into the rear guards.
just found a nice big rust hole inside the left rear guard...yay!
