Project update
Hey everyone, long time no post from me i know but im still around
Just a quick update note and picture, im trying to pull finger and get the T1 City finished finaly and use it for a daily driver.
Heres a quick picture which says more than anything
Its good to see the City community still alive and lots of others giving some tired old citys a restore
Cheers
Justin

Good to have some of the older members still kicking around with cities.

Good to hear from one of the "old boys" of this site .Quirky aint the word , I get stopped at least a couple times a week by people who just love the car-s . Sorry Henry but "red"(Pro-T) gets all the comments , "silver" (T2) gets the "what the?" from the numb nuts in fast sixes , silver a "great white" in "tommy ruff" disguise .Great to see some rebuilds goin on too.

I was considering having a go at recoing a vacuum advance, I think I have a stuffed one to work on. Actually I think I might even have a spare working one for you...
Out of interest what turbo do you have and what do you plan on boosting?

Hmm turbo is a city exhaust housing bored to fit an Isuzu MU truck turbo exhaust wheel and shaft, mu or GTX center? (cant remember) GTX mazda compressor cover and wheel. Cant remember what the GTX turbos where now. - non GTR ball bearing turbo...
As for boost, more the better lol, was thinking back around the 14psi mark... would love to get rid of the factory cut at some point..

GTX turbo will either be the vj6 from the bp6 motors or the vj20 (or is it 22) from the later 1800 ones.
Both are fairly capable with the later one being a little larger. They will be pretty good at around 13-14-15psi but will lose efficiency rapidly much higher than that. In saying that it should be heaps for a road car.
Is it a T1 or T2 exhaust housing? The T1 is quite a bit tighter and would spool better.
